The whole checklist, written down

This is the list our cleaners actually work from. Read it before booking so nothing on the day is a surprise in either direction.

Kitchen

About 35 minutes

Every visit

  • Counters and backsplash wiped, including under the toaster and kettle
  • Sink scrubbed, drain and tap descaled
  • Stovetop degreased, grates lifted and cleaned underneath
  • Exterior of fridge, oven, dishwasher and microwave
  • Microwave cleaned inside
  • Table and chairs wiped, chair legs included
  • Bin emptied, liner replaced, lid wiped
  • Floor vacuumed and mopped, including under the table

A deep clean adds

  • Cabinet fronts degreased, handles included
  • Extractor hood and filter cleaned
  • Top of the fridge and cabinets dusted
  • Skirting and door frames hand wiped
  • Behind the fridge where it rolls out

Inside the oven and inside the fridge are add-ons rather than standard, because they can each take half an hour.

Bathrooms

About 25 minutes each

Every visit

  • Shower and tub scrubbed, including the door track
  • Glass and chrome descaled for hard water film
  • Toilet cleaned inside and out, including the base and behind
  • Sink, counter and taps
  • Mirror polished streak free
  • Towels straightened or replaced if you leave fresh ones out
  • Bin emptied, floor vacuumed and mopped

A deep clean adds

  • Grout lines brushed rather than wiped
  • Silicone seals cleaned and checked for mildew
  • Extractor fan cover cleaned
  • Skirting, door frame and switch plate wiped
  • Under the sink pedestal and behind the door

Williamson County water leaves a film on glass within weeks, so descaling is standard on every visit rather than an extra.

Bedrooms

About 15 minutes each

Every visit

  • Bed made, or linens changed if you leave a fresh set out
  • All surfaces dusted, including lamps and picture frames
  • Mirrors and glass wiped
  • Bins emptied
  • Floor vacuumed, hard floors mopped

A deep clean adds

  • Under the bed vacuumed
  • Headboard and bed frame wiped
  • Skirting and door frames hand wiped
  • Ceiling fan blades and light fittings
  • Window sills and interior glass

Living areas

About 20 minutes

Every visit

  • All surfaces dusted, including shelves and electronics
  • Cushions straightened, throws folded
  • Under the sofa cushions vacuumed
  • Glass tables and mirrors polished
  • Floor vacuumed, hard floors mopped

A deep clean adds

  • Under and behind the sofa
  • Skirting, door frames and switch plates
  • Ceiling fan blades, light fittings and cobwebs
  • Window sills, tracks and interior glass
  • Blinds dusted slat by slat

Entry, stairs and hallways

About 10 minutes

Every visit

  • Door handles, light switches and banisters wiped
  • Shoe area tidied and vacuumed
  • Mirrors and console surfaces
  • Stairs vacuumed including the edges

A deep clean adds

  • Skirting the full length of the hallway
  • Door frames and the tops of doors
  • Cobwebs in the stairwell corners

Laundry and utility

About 10 minutes

Every visit

  • Exterior of the washer and dryer
  • Counter and sink if there is one
  • Lint trap emptied
  • Floor vacuumed and mopped

A deep clean adds

  • Behind and between the machines
  • Detergent shelf cleared and wiped
  • Skirting and door frame

Wash and fold is a separate add-on. If you book it we run up to two loads while we are cleaning the rest of the house.

What we do not do

Every cleaning company has a list like this. Most of them keep it in a terms page nobody reads.

  • Exterior windows above the ground floor

    It needs ladder work and a different insurance policy.

  • Mould remediation

    Surface mildew yes. Anything behind tile or drywall needs a specialist.

  • Pest control and animal waste

    Not something our team is equipped or trained for.

  • Carpet shampooing or steam cleaning

    We can recommend two Austin firms who do it properly.

  • Decluttering and organising

    We will not make decisions about your things. Tidying around them, yes.

  • Anything above two steps on a ladder

    A safety rule we do not bend, including for high light fittings.
